I’m Rebecca, a portrait photographer in the New York City area that specializes in capturing women in the prime of their lives and beyond.
My journey to photography began in advertising over 20 years ago where I helped brands like Pepsi and L’Oreal create desire by connecting creativity with human emotion. Working with some of the best creatives, photographers and directors in the industry, I learned how lighting, make-up, styling and direction can elevate an image into visual poetry.
Portraiture called my name when I was getting yet another headshot done for an agency pitch. The photo was fine, but it didn’t capture the “me” who was leading a multi-million dollar business. I was in my 40s and wanted more than just a headshot or Instagram filtered selfie. I learned I wasn’t alone, that other women also wanted to be captured, celebrated and seen for all the nuances that make them more than just a pretty face.
Since then, I’ve made it my mission to use portraiture to bring the best out in women and the celebrate whatever chapter they’re on in their book of life
